Waiting for a fall

because everything in my life has been coming up roses for 2 days now. Within the last 2 days, I:

-solved my class problem (still have to go tell my advisor that I'm dropping both her class and her major, and then go have a meeting with her husband about my other Psych class, but oh well)
-got accepted to present at the Tanner conference! (Any of you who will be in the Boston area on November 1 will be legally obligated to come! It will be interesting, I swear! I'm talking about the US election and the French referendum and how they were received by the French!)
-solved my housing problem (I'm going to live in the short hall! And life will be significantly less angsty!)
-had Target make my dreams come true, in the Halloween costume "looking for pieces with which to build a specific item...no, wait, you have exactly what I gave up at finding on CLEARANCE?!?" department. Halloween is going to be AWESOME!!!!! (Be afraid...be very afraid.) The costume looks so good, I'm almost tempted not to punnify it!
-got an email back from my cousin in Paris, who, it turns out, was and still is involved in feminist stuff in France. I may be going to Paris for a weekend during Thanksgiving vacation to attend a feminism conference that her org is hosting! Me? Go back to France? SQUEEEEEEE!!! (My favorite quote: "you knit? Is that part of your feminist formation at college?") I'm going to discuss it with my advisor, but as I see it, it's win-win!

I'm just happy. My room is clean, my life is in order and is less stressful, and the gods seem to be smiling on me, which I suppose is an attempt to make up for the past few weeks where they definitely weren't. Apology accepted, gods. But I'll knock on wood anyway!
